About the role

We are currently recruiting for a number of nursing roles - full time, part time and casual - to join our Veterinary team in Burwood East. The successful candidates will provide quality veterinary nursing to the animals within the animal care centre and enhance the long-term viability of the clinic by providing a high level of customer service. Successful performance of the role will require a good working knowledge of veterinary nursing patient care.

Applicants will be required to work over a rotating roster, which includes weekends and public holidays as required.

Roles duties & responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of customer service and advice
  • Assist the Veterinarians with surgical procedures
  • Provide veterinary nursing services to private patients and RSPCA shelter animals
  • Monitor patients and maintain accurate records
  • Identify and recommend improvements throughout the Clinic.

Skills & experience required

  • Well-developed veterinary nursing knowledge, skills and experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to engage effectively with a wide range of people
  • The ability to work independently and be a supportive member of a team
  • Strong problem solving and organisational skills
  • The capacity to work productively in a varying and fast-paced environment
  • A positive and can-do attitude.

Qualifications

  • A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is highly desirable.
