About the role
We are currently recruiting for a number of nursing roles - full time, part time and casual - to join our Veterinary team in Burwood East. The successful candidates will provide quality veterinary nursing to the animals within the animal care centre and enhance the long-term viability of the clinic by providing a high level of customer service. Successful performance of the role will require a good working knowledge of veterinary nursing patient care.
Applicants will be required to work over a rotating roster, which includes weekends and public holidays as required.
Roles duties & responsibilities
Deliver high standards of customer service and advice
Assist the Veterinarians with surgical procedures
Provide veterinary nursing services to private patients and RSPCA shelter animals
Monitor patients and maintain accurate records
Identify and recommend improvements throughout the Clinic.
Skills & experience required
Well-developed veterinary nursing knowledge, skills and experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
An ability to engage effectively with a wide range of people
The ability to work independently and be a supportive member of a team
Strong problem solving and organisational skills
The capacity to work productively in a varying and fast-paced environment
A positive and can-do attitude.
A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is highly desirable.
