About the RSPCA
We are a leading animal welfare charity that works to end cruelty to all animals. Our purpose is to work with the community to achieve outstanding animal welfare through education, advocacy, animal care and protection. We achieve this by actively promoting their care and protection through awareness campaigns and education programs. Across Victoria we offer community services including the work undertaken by our Inspectorate, veterinary clinics and animal care teams.

About the role
As a newly developed position, the Organisational Capability Manager has the ability to shape the role and make it their own. This is an incredible opportunity to join a dedicated and passionate People and Culture team that supports RSPCA Victoria in making a difference to animals in need.
The Organisational Capability Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies and practices that will ensure RSPCA Victoria has the right resources and capability to achieve its objectives. In this role, you will:
Lead a team of staff and volunteers to the highest levels of engagement and performance;
Lead the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of learning and development programs to build the capability of our people;
Lead the design and implementation of a centralised recruitment model for recruiting employees and volunteers across the organisation, including overseeing the development of a workforce plan that meets our current and future resourcing and capability requirements;
Lead the implementation of talent management and succession planning strategies;
Support the implementation of the RSPCA Victoria People Strategy (2019-2022), including leading initiatives that relate to diversity and inclusion, mental health and wellbeing and leadership development.
Skills and Experience
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business/Education/Human Resources and/or relevant field.
Previous experience developing and implementing people strategies and practices that ensure that the organisation has the right resources and capability to achieve its objectives.
Previous experience in leading and developing high performing teams.
Previous experience developing, facilitating and evaluating learning and development programs, complimented with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
High level literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills, including intermediate computer skills (including use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment.
Qualifications & Other Requirements
The successful applicant will also require a valid driver’s licence and a current police check.
